I officially broke the 30 lbs lost mark yesterday. Its an amazing feeling knowing I've come this far and am so close to the end! I am so excited for a new me that feels good and has energy and all around just has a better outlook on life. No more fat suit! Now here's a comparison photo. What a difference 30 lbs makes! As of this morning I have 14.4 lbs until my goal of 140 lbs. I might have to wait until the new year to finish up reaching that goal but I love feeling like I will look fabulous for my family pictures and NOT the fat one this time. Here's to an awesome new me and you! Are you giving yourself the gift of health this Christmas? I know I am!

Round 1 Round Up!
I just realized that I finished my first round of HcG without posting pictures or giving my final weight. I am starting my first day of very low calorie diet again so I guess I should do that.
Starting Weight: 185.6 lbs
Round One Final Weight: 161.8 lbs
Total Weight Loss: 23.8 lbs
I had gotten down to 160.8 lbs but as I went through maintenance my body liked to stay at 161.8 lbs which was fine I adjusted my lowest weight all together to keep a consistent weight for my Lowest Weight.
Now on to pictures! This is my favorite because it's quite the difference.
And one final picture to show the difference. I remember wearing this dress to my brother in law's wedding and I was totally self conscious wearing it, it was super tight and the buttons pulled. I slipped it on when I reached this first goal and it fit perfectly. I have never felt so pretty. Loving the results and can not wait to show the final results when I reach my goal.

I lost my orange sports bra somewhere wishing I knew where it was so that it was the same outfit but my black will have to do for now. Big difference from the first picture as far as tummy and thighs go and back fat. It's slowing down as I reach the twenty pound weight loss mark. Can't wait to see my love handles shrink more but loving the pictures so far.

I am totally blown away with how amazing this is working. I feel really good, can wear my size 12 jeans comfortably and not a lot more muffin top which feels amazing. I plan to do up to 43 days and see how much weight will come off and then take a break. It feels good to finally be reaching my goal and finally getting that "after" picture. Yay!

Take two, or three, or four
Alright I never made it past day 20, I kind of think I knew it would happen. But I did find something new. I decided that working out too hard and not focusing on nutrition as much wasn't working as the scale stayed the same and I lost a few inches but not enough to help motivate me. So we're going to try something different.
I am not a fan of fad diets because lets face it they just don't work with my broken body. My uncle Bob and Aunt Shan started and completed several cycles of the HcG diet and my Uncle lost almost 80 lbs! Now I had to take a look at it. Its concept is to use HcG to make your Hypothalamus break up fat and put it into the blood stream and then metabolize it. With the HcG you can sustain a 500 calorie diet without feeling hungry or tired because it forces your body to use the fat store you already have.
The first two days though you do what they call a fat load. Eat as much fatty food as you can in the first two days. I thought to myself hey I can do that! Well turns out I haven't really eaten fatty foods in a long time and its REALLY hard! My body just isn't used to it. I ate a cheese omelet with two pieces of toast and an apple pie for breakfast and I got such an upset stomach. I knew this was going to be hard but I will complete it and get to the more strict part easy. I really hope this works and then once I reach my goal then I can work out to maintain it.
Starting weight before Fat Load: 185.6 lbs
Weight Loss Goal: 150 lbs
Total Weight Loss Goal: 35.6 lbs

My First Break Down . . . What I like to call "The 15 Day Give Up"
I have been posting on Facebook but haven't really used this blog in a really long time. Today in particular I really need to write down how I'm doing to show how far I've come. I am on the third week of Turbo Fire with Chalene Johnson and oh man is it hard but to this point I've been able to follow the schedule without problem. I've lost some inches (nothing super substantial but still good).
Now the reason for the title. I am famous for the 15 day give up. I did the 30 day shred twice or attempted it at least and only made it 15 days both times. I am finding I hit that point and then don't see the huge results I would like and I give up discourage and mentally blocked. I know most of the time it's all mental, my body can physically do it but my brain just gets defeated and therefore I totally give up. And guess what? today I'm creeping up on the 15 day mark.
Today was the first day that I physically just couldn't do what I wanted to with my workout. I was really pushing it, doing the High Intensity Interval Training 15 minute video and they do what is called a "fire drill" and I got through the first and started to almost hyperventilate I was so out of breath. I broke down, stopped the video and started bawling. I am very Type A and when there's something I want to be able to do but can't I get really mentally blocked. I hit a wall, tried to calm myself down but just needed a good cry. Spencer tried to encourage me which was sweet but for some reason with him its hard to feel it. I know he's trying but when people who are skinny and never have to work a day to stay that way I just feel like they don't know how hard this is. Not his fault of course and I don't want him to stop encouraging me because it helps, it really does but at the moment I just couldn't use it to motivate me, in fact it made me more mad. Again not his fault just my mental state at the time.
I've joined a couple groups as of late on Facebook and so I got on two of them and posted about how I needed help because I am just so defeated and I loved the responses I got. One of them reminded me of a quote that I heard in a talk at church one Sunday. I believe it was from my friend Amy Nelson. It went along the lines of "In life there are going to be big boulders in our way (obstacles) you can either think of them as road blocks or stepping stones up to where you want to be." I may have totally misquoted but it was something along those lines.
Tracey, the woman in my group said this: "It is hard, but totally doable! And you're right, all you can do is try and only you know if you are putting in 100% of your effort. I climbed a waterfall in Jamaica when I was over 300 lbs and after the second slippery rock I wanted to turn back, but that wasn't an option. So I just focused on the next rock I needed to climb, and once I was on that rock I focused on the next. I did that about a billion times, and before I knew it I was at the top of the waterfall. That experience was a good lesson for me on how to take things one step at a time. Just get through today's workout, that is the only slippery rock you need to focus on right now. YOU CAN TOTALLY DO THIS!!! :):):)"
I start bawling when I read it because it helped me get up, brush myself off, wipe away the tears and do it. I did my workout after such a mental block I felt like I just couldn't do it. And I feel AWESOME! All the women are so encouraging in my group and I hope to be able to get past the 15 day mark and finish the full 20 weeks. That in itself would just be a HUGE accomplishment for me. I need to do this and I want that "After" picture once and for all. If you read this far I hope this helps you too. Thanks!
